Built in 1918 with dues collected by a local miners' union, Miner's Theatre served as both a union hall and entertainment venue before becoming a movie house in the 1960s; it's now listed on the National Register of Historic Places and continues operating as a live events venue. The theater's reported ghosts include two brothers — one of whom is said to have killed the other in a dispute over ownership — and a mischievous but harmless young woman blamed for hiding actors' makeup and costumes, only for the missing items to turn up again in plain sight, sometimes rolling into view on their own.
