The Lemp Mansion in St. Louis was the home of the Lemp family, who built one of the city's great brewing dynasties, and a series of family tragedies, including several suicides across three generations, gave it a reputation as one of America's most haunted houses. LIFE magazine named it one of the country's ten most haunted places. Guests and staff describe cold spots, electrical oddities, the feeling of being watched, a piano that plays a single note at night and vibrations in the floor. The mansion has appeared on Ghost Hunters and Ghost Adventures, and today it operates as an inn and restaurant that offers ghost tours and a camera-led Lemp Experience.
Open as an inn and restaurant with ticketed ghost tours and the Lemp Experience; check its site for dates and to book.
