The Ramsay House at the foot of King Street, built by town founder William Ramsay in the 1700s and now Alexandria's visitor center, is a regular start and stop for Old Town ghost tours. Local legend says a man in Revolutionary War clothing walks through, linked to John Dixon, who held the mortgage and is said to have been executed as a spy, and some tell of a woman in white.
Alexandria's visitor center, open daily; ghost tours meet in the garden and on King Street.
