The Edgar Allan Poe Museum in Richmond holds the largest collection of Poe's belongings and is housed around the Old Stone House, among the oldest buildings in the city. Richmond storytellers say a playful child spirit lingers in the Old Stone House, and that Poe himself may be attached to objects such as his wife Virginia's hand mirror and his walking stick. Visitors also tell of shadows and cold spots. These accounts come from tours and visitors, and the museum does not claim them as fact.
