The Nevada Governor's Mansion in Carson City was built in 1909 in the Colonial Revival style, and Governor Denver Dickerson and his family were its first residents. Nevada haunted-places lists name it among the state's most haunted sites, with stories of a woman and a young girl, believed to be the first lady, Una Dickerson, and her daughter June, whose apparition staff and guests say they have seen. Others have heard a man's footsteps on the staircase. Summer ghost tours are offered.
The governor's residence; free tours are offered on set days and fill quickly, and summer ghost tours have been run. Check with the Friends of the Nevada State Museum or the state for current times.
