The Silver Queen Hotel in Virginia City was built in 1876 and is known for its Comstock-era interior. Nevada tourism guides say its ghost is Rosie, a woman who worked as a prostitute in the building and is said to have died by suicide in Room 11 in the late 1800s. She is reported in Room 11 and on the staircase, along with other women apparitions. The hotel offers ghost tours on some evenings.
Operating hotel on C Street. Ghost tours have been run on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights; check for current dates.
