The Everett Covered Bridge crosses Furnace Run in Cuyahoga Valley National Park; the bridge standing today was rebuilt in 1986 after the original was destroyed by a flood. TourismOhio lists it as haunted by John Gilson, a farmer who drowned crossing the creek in 1877. Visitors tell of voices near the bridge and a ghostly hitchhiker on the road.
Free and open at all hours as part of the national park; the bridge is closed to vehicles. The park is a pleasant place to hike, but go in daylight.
