The Devereaux House, built in 1857 for William Staines, is considered the first mansion in Utah. It later belonged to William Jennings, who named it Devereaux, and it was acquired by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 2005 and is now an event venue. Local ghost lore says a young girl in 1850s clothing is seen in an upper window, with reports of singing or humming and of doors that slam and objects that fall.
Event venue; the exterior can be seen from South Temple, and interior access is through bookings or events.
