The Pioneer Memorial Museum, run by the Daughters of Utah Pioneers across from the State Capitol, holds thousands of artifacts from Utah's early settlers. In October 2007, troopers monitoring security cameras from the Capitol saw what looked like a woman's face appear on the museum's lobby camera for several nights, and a custodian reported a young woman in black who sat in the foyer and vanished near the steps. Some people think the image was a reflection from the glass in the gift shop, and the museum has not promoted the stories.
Free museum with set hours; check the Daughters of Utah Pioneers website. Please be respectful, as it is a volunteer-run memorial.
