Berlin was a small gold and silver camp of a couple of hundred people that was mostly abandoned by 1911, and it is now preserved in "arrested decay" inside Berlin-Ichthyosaur State Park. Visitors can look through the windows of about twenty buildings at left-behind tools, goods and office records on a self-guided tour. The park also protects a fossil bed of ichthyosaurs, with guided tours in season.
State park 23 miles east of Gabbs with a campground; bring water, as the area is remote.
