Middlegate Station sits on U.S. Highway 50, the Loneliest Road in America, in central Nevada, on the old Pony Express route, in a building that long served as the Sagebrush Saloon and Inn. Nevada haunted-places lists say the ghosts here are Pony Express riders still looking for a room, with reports of footsteps and knocking. It is a working saloon, restaurant and motel for travelers.
Open daily as a restaurant, bar and motel on Highway 50 about 50 miles east of Fallon.
