Built in 1930-31 in the Spanish Colonial Revival style, this building served as the Honolulu Police Station before being taken over by the City & County of Honolulu, which still occupies it today. Employees report a ghost seen going into the restroom, file cabinet doors opening and closing on their own, the sound of an old typewriter and a newspaper being flipped, a squeaky office chair, and flickering lights.
The 1930 Spanish Colonial Revival building, now called the Gibson Building, houses city and county offices. You can go inside during weekday business hours to see the tile work and marble, but it is a working government office.
