The USS Yorktown, a World War II aircraft carrier launched in 1943, is the centerpiece of the Patriots Point Naval and Maritime Museum in Charleston Harbor. Ghost Hunters (TAPS) investigated after staff and visitors reported unexplained happenings, and the ship's own staff has said the footage was among the most compelling they had seen; the figure of a man seen leaning on a wall and walking off into nothing is among the best-known reports. Patriots Point runs ghost tours aboard the ship.
Museum ship open daily with self-guided tours; special ghost tours need tickets, so check Patriots Point.
