Jehl Park, at Kendawa and White Eagle Drives near Fort Wayne's Georgetown Square, was established in 1979 with support from the Jehl family, prominent local developers who also built the neighboring Georgetown Square shopping center. Local legend holds that a girl swinging in the park caught her neck in the swing's chain and was killed, and that swinging there past midnight will make you feel as though someone is pushing you off.
Jehl Park is a small city park in Fort Wayne with playground equipment and courts. Visit during normal park hours, and stay off the swings after dark.
