Huntington University's Merillat Complex for Physical Education and Recreation — known to generations of students as the PERC, now the PLEX — was built in the 1970s after Orville and Ruth Merillat gave more than a million dollars toward its construction. A woman in a long white dress has reportedly been seen floating in the hallways, seen only by men; toilets are said to flush and showers to turn on with no one there.
The Merillat PLEX is an athletic complex that was renovated in 2024. It is open for games and campus events; contact Huntington University before visiting.
