The belief at the Sun Inn is that the ghost of a little girl, possibly named Sarah, is caught in the attic: people have reported hearing her singing in a guest room, a visitor's teddy bear was knocked out of his hands in the attic, and some say they heard her crying "don't go" when they tried to leave. Visitors have also claimed to see British or Hessian soldiers in the basement, and Ghost Hunters investigated in its Season 7 episode "Christmas Spirit." VisitPA's ghost trail adds stories of tunnels the Moravians are said to have dug, though no source for them has been found. The Moravians built the inn in 1758 and it served as an inn from 1760 until the late 1960s, hosting George Washington, Alexander Hamilton and Benjamin Franklin. It has been restored and is run by Historic Bethlehem as a museum with self-guided tours and a restaurant and tasting room.
