The Stone Lion Inn is a Victorian-style bed and breakfast built in 1907 in Guthrie, Oklahoma's first capital, and is repeatedly named the state's most haunted property. The best-known spirit is a child said to be 8-year-old Irene Houghton, who by the legend died after a nurse accidentally gave her opium-laced cough syrup; guests tell of toes being squeezed in the night and little footsteps tapping from the second floor to the third. Investigators have also described a stronger male presence in the basement where a morgue once stood. The crew of Ghost Adventures investigated the inn.
