The Pollard Theatre on Harrison Avenue in Guthrie occupies a building put up in 1901 as a furniture store and has been a working professional theater for decades. Guthrie press and the state's ghost-tour writers call it Oklahoma's oldest haunted theater. Staff and audiences describe footsteps on the catwalk above the auditorium, the sound of a bouncing ball on the stairs, a boy laughing and a dog barking, and an angry-looking old man in the mirror during intermission.
Working theater with regular performances; Guthrie Ghost Walk tours also pass through the historic district.
