Nevadaville was an Irish-American gold-mining town founded in 1859 and rebuilt after an 1861 fire, then slowly abandoned as the ore ran out. A handful of private residents remain, along with a few buildings on its old main street and the Masonic Lodge No. 4, which still meets. Local lore gives the cemetery a spooky reputation, though that is folklore.
Look from the public street; the buildings are private and old mine workings can open into sinkholes.
