Dunleith is a Greek Revival mansion in Natchez, surrounded on all sides by columns like a classical temple. The current house was built after the original late-18th-century house burned in 1855 when lightning struck. It is now a historic inn, and Mississippi tourism guides and local lore name a spirit known as Miss Percy, who is said never to speak but only to watch, and who appears unhappy. She is usually described on the third floor but is reported to appear elsewhere in the house, playing a harp in the parlor and making the sound of breaking glass.
Operating historic inn with tours; the best way to experience the house is a stay or a scheduled tour.
