Bragg Road, known locally as Ghost Road, is a dirt road that began as a railroad bed through the Big Thicket and is famed for the Light of Saratoga, a glow that visitors say drifts, hovers or follows cars. Explanations range from swamp gas to car headlights, and one legend says it is the lantern of a railroad man killed on the tracks. Hardin County designated the road a scenic drive in 1997, and Texas travel sources list it among the state's most haunted places.
Public county road in the Big Thicket; stay on the road, do not trespass on neighboring land, and expect no guarantee of seeing the light. The pin marks Saratoga, near the road's start.
