Altman Hall at Hastings College is a residence hall named for Clara Christine Altman, who came to Hastings as a languages teacher and became the college's dean of women. Campus lore holds that she remains as a guardian spirit watching over the students who live there, and the college's ghost stories have been collected in a book and an audio series, The Ghosts of Hastings College. Specific accounts of what residents have experienced are thinly documented, and the story is best taken as campus legend.
Private college campus; the grounds can be walked. Altman Hall is a working residence hall and not open to visitors. The map pin marks the campus.
