The Woodruff-Fontaine House in Memphis's Victorian Village is a French Second Empire mansion built in 1871 for the carriage maker and later mayor Amos Woodruff, and later home to the cotton merchant Noland Fontaine. The best-known ghost is Mollie Woodruff, whose bedroom, the Rose Room, still bears her photograph, and she is said to sit on the bed and leave an impression on the mattress. Docents have reported her presence and help rearranging furniture to match how she kept the room. The house museum offers evening ghost tours a few times each month.
Open as a museum with tours; evening ghost tours run on select dates. Check the museum's site for hours and tickets.
