The Castle is a Gothic Revival mansion in Marietta, built in the 1850s and now a historic house museum. Several of its owners died in the house, and the museum's October lantern-lit ghost tours tell stories reported by staff, volunteers and guests, among them unexplained sounds, a mysterious clock, cold spots and glimpses of figures. The tours are part of Marietta's Halloween traditions, along with the nearby haunted hotels.
Museum open for guided tours on a limited schedule, with ghost tours in October; call or check the museum's site.
