The Crystal Pistol Music Hall, a 1,000-seat theater built as a replica of Atlanta's 1855 Atheneum Theatre, opened with Six Flags Over Georgia in 1967. Legend holds that an actor named Joe, cast to headline the very first show, was killed in a car accident on his way to the park and never got the chance to perform. Staff and guests report a man watching performances from the edge of the balcony, orbs appearing in photographs, and a man singing backstage after closing when no one else is there; stage props have also gone missing, only to turn up later by the railroad tracks running alongside the theater.
Seasonal amusement park, open from March into November. Admission is charged. The Crystal Pistol is a live-show theater inside the park.
