The Perry Hotel in Petoskey's Gaslight District was built in 1899 by Dr. Norman J. Perry and has welcomed guests for over a century. The best-known story is of a woman in a white dress who is said to have taken her own life in 1902 and who is seen in the garden facing Little Traverse Bay. Staff and guests have also described a man in a blue suit near Dr. Perry's old office on the lower level. The hotel is a stop on northern Michigan haunted-hotel lists and still takes overnight guests.
An operating hotel in downtown Petoskey; rooms and the dining room are open to guests and visitors.
