The Oxford Saloon in Snohomish's historic business district has been a bar since the 1890s and is one of the Seattle area's best-known haunted watering holes. The most repeated story is Henry, an off-duty policeman said to have been shot or stabbed in a fight and to haunt the basement and pinch passing women, while another spirit, Kathleen, is said to have run a brothel upstairs. The Herald calls Henry an urban legend, and the stories are bar lore.
