Old Molson was a mining and farming town founded around 1900 near the Canadian border by George Meacham and John W. Molson, and it declined after a land-claim dispute pushed residents out to nearby New Molson. The Okanogan County Historical Society keeps the brick schoolhouse as a museum, and cabins, a bank and farm equipment stand in an outdoor museum.
