Magnolia Plantation on the Ashley River has been owned by the Drayton family since the 1600s and is open as gardens, a house museum and a nature site; its cabins interpret the lives of the enslaved people who worked the land. Visitors and investigators report music, voices and apparitions in the main house, and Ghost Hunters examined a Drayton family legend in the 2012 episode "Paranormal Politics."
Open daily with admission; house and cabin tours are separate from the gardens.
