The Lizzie Borden House in Fall River is the home where Andrew and Abby Borden were killed with a hatchet on August 4, 1892; Andrew's daughter Lizzie was tried for the murders and acquitted in 1893, and no one else was ever convicted. The house is now a bed and breakfast and museum, and the stories center on the second-floor guest room where Abby was found. Guests and staff describe footsteps, doors opening and closing, cold spots, and apparitions seen in the rooms. The house was investigated on Ghost Hunters in 2005 and on Ghost Adventures in 2011, and its own ghost hunts and overnight stays are a regular part of what it offers.
Open as a museum and bed and breakfast. Daytime tours, ghost hunts and overnight stays are offered; book ahead through the house.
