Guests at the Joshua Tree Inn report encounters with the ghost of Gram Parsons in Room 8, which is preserved with the mirror and photograph that hung on the wall the night he died there in 1973 and is a place of pilgrimage for fans. The Ghost Adventures team investigated in 2021 and reported poltergeist activity and shadow figures. A piece of Cap Rock, where Parsons's friends later tried to cremate his body, stands in the courtyard near the room. The inn is a desert motel outside Joshua Tree National Park.
Operating inn; Room 8 can be booked, and the courtyard holds a fan memorial.
