The Jefferson Hotel occupies an 1851 building in Jefferson, once a busy steamboat port in East Texas and now known for its ghost walks. Staff and guests tell of unexplained voices coming from Room 19 when it is empty, and of a feeling of being watched there. The hotel is one of several historic lodgings in town that lean into the legends.
Working hotel in Jefferson's historic district; ask about local ghost walks, which are a popular draw.
