The Hotel Halsingland occupies the former bachelor officers' quarters at Fort Seward in Haines, a National Historic Landmark overlooking the parade ground. Local walking-tour narration calls it the most haunted building in Haines, and Ghost Hunters featured the hotel in its 2020 episode "Alone in Alaska." The hotel's ghost stories are local lore rather than documented incidents.
Working hotel on Fort Seward's parade ground; check availability before visiting, especially outside summer.
