Historic Wendover Airfield was a World War II training base where the 509th Composite Group prepared for the atomic missions of 1945, and it still has the restored hangar often called the Enola Gay hangar, now part of a museum. Ghost-tour organizers say that visitors have heard someone working in Colonel Paul Tibbets' office when it is empty, and ghost hunts opened to the public in 2018; ABC4 reports that Ghost Hunters filmed an episode here. The accounts come from tour operators rather than documented investigations.
Museum and airfield with seasonal hours; check historicwendover.org for hours and ghost-hunt dates. Many buildings are fragile, so stay with a guide.
