The Heathman Hotel, opened in 1927 across from the Portland Art Museum, is a downtown landmark and the setting for part of Fifty Shades of Grey. Ghost-tour writers place the hotel's haunted rooms around floors ending in 03, especially Room 703: guests tell of clean rooms where towels have been used and chairs moved, along with footsteps and voices.
Working hotel with a restaurant and lounge; public areas are open to visitors.
