The Golden Lamb in Lebanon has served travelers since 1803 and calls itself Ohio's oldest continuously operating business; guests have included Charles Dickens and a long list of presidents. Ohio Magazine and the inn's own history page tell of its resident spirits, the most famous of them Sarah Stubbs, a girl who lived at the inn in the late 1800s while her uncle ran it. Staff and guests describe a child bouncing a ball, and the hotel keeps a recreation of Sarah's room.
Working restaurant and hotel open daily; the museum rooms on the upper floors can be viewed, and the inn tells its ghost stories at Halloween.
