The Frank Phillips Home is the 26-room Neoclassical mansion that Phillips Petroleum founder Frank Phillips built in downtown Bartlesville in 1909 and lived in with his wife Jane; it is now a museum run by the Frank Phillips Foundation. Oklahoma travel writers say that Phillips, reluctant to leave his wealth behind, still haunts the mansion and his Woolaroc ranch. The museum itself does not promote ghost stories, so this is a local tale, and Bartlesville's October ghost walk covers other downtown buildings.
Open for one-hour guided tours Wednesday through Saturday (9:30 to 4:30 at last report); check the foundation's site.
