The Brady Theater, now often called the Tulsa Theater, is a downtown Tulsa landmark that opened in 1914 as the Convention Hall and hosted everyone from presidents to rock stars. Ghost lore centers on tenor Enrico Caruso, who sang here in 1920 after a rain-soaked trip to an oil well and died the following year; his spirit is said to linger. The building also sheltered residents during the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre, and Tulsa ghost tours mention its role in that tragedy with care. Tulsa press and TravelOK list it among the state's haunted places.
Working concert venue; the public is welcome at shows, and Tulsa ghost tours point out the building.
