The Faust Hotel opened in 1929 in downtown New Braunfels, built by Walter Faust. Staff have reported seeing the apparition of a man believed to be Walter Faust in a black coat and hat, children heard playing in the second-floor hallway near rooms 215 and 217, an elevator that moves on its own and a female shadow in the dining room. A local paranormal group has investigated the building. These stories come from the hotel's staff and local press.
Working hotel with a brewery and restaurant; the lobby and restaurant are open to visitors.
