The Emily Morgan Hotel, beside the Alamo, occupies a 1924 Gothic Revival building that was built as a medical office tower and became a hotel in the 1980s. It is named for Emily Morgan, a figure of Texas legend associated with the Battle of San Jacinto. Guests have reported unexplained activity on the ninth floor, including doors opening and closing, items moving and elevators that misbehave.
