The Dude Rancher Lodge is a Western-themed motor inn that opened in Billings in December 1950, built by Percival and Annabel Goan with salvaged brick and knotty pine interiors. It was featured on the Travel Channel's Hotel Impossible in 2012. Staff and guests say the lodge is haunted by Annabel Goan, who ran it with her husband, and report televisions and lights turning on and off, strange noises, and occasional apparitions. Rooms 223, 224 and 226 are the ones most often named, and are said to book up as much as a year in advance.
