Originally established as the Fort Boise Military Cemetery near the Boise Barracks, which closed in 1913, this cemetery in the Boise foothills was relocated after severe flash floods eroded many of its headstones, with more than 166 graves moved to the current site. Visitors report the ghosts of children buried here roaming the grounds, along with the apparition of a woman seen both in the cemetery and at a nearby school.
The Fort Boise Military Reserve Cemetery, open sunrise to sunset. It was moved here in 1907 after a flood on Cottonwood Creek. Visit quietly and respect the graves.
