Wilson Castle is a red-brick castle-style mansion in Proctor, open for seasonal tours and known as a haunted house in Vermont media. Staff and paranormal groups have held paranormal investigations and Halloween-season haunted nights here, and visitors tell of footsteps, shadows and objects moving. Coverage from WCAX, the Brandon Reporter and Seven Days describes the haunted programs, and the accounts are anecdotal.
Seasonal tours, usually from late spring through October, and some paid ghost-hunt nights; check wilsoncastle.com or call 802-773-3284.
