The Old Stagecoach Inn in Waterbury dates to 1826 and was once the home of Albert and Annette "Nettie" Spencer. Nettie, born in 1848, returned after her husband's death in 1907 and lived to nearly 100, and she is the inn's best-known ghost, associated with Room 2. Longtime owners described playful activity, like missing bottles that reappeared and a fire alarm pulled off a wall, and said it has faded over the years. The inn changed owners in 2022, so call ahead.
Working inn on Waterbury's Main Street; call ahead to confirm current hours, ownership and whether Room 2 is available.
