The Historic Occidental Hotel on Main Street in Buffalo, built in 1880, hosted Wild West figures and is now an inn with a saloon and restaurants. Its best-known ghost is a girl called Emily, said by some to have died of cholera in the early 1900s and by others to have been the daughter of a woman who worked upstairs; she is said to tap guests on the shoulder and move furniture. Cowboy State Daily and Travel Wyoming call it among the state's most haunted hotels. The accounts vary and are lore.
Working hotel with a saloon and restaurants; rooms are limited, so book well ahead.
