The Norwich Inn has stood on its Main Street site since 1797, and the present Victorian building dates to 1890. Its story is of Mary "Ma" Walker, a former owner who is said to have sold bootleg beer from the basement during Prohibition and died in Room 20; she is said to walk the upper floors and fiddle with taps and faucets. The inn's pub, Jasper Murdock's Alehouse, is also mentioned in New England haunted-restaurant lists.
Working inn with a pub and dining room; the public rooms are open to visitors.
