The Elsinore Theatre, which opened in 1926 with a Tudor Gothic design, is a downtown Salem landmark that still shows films and live acts. Travel Oregon lists it among the state's haunted places: staff and visitors describe a cold spot on stage and an unseen presence said to be the theater's owner George Guthrie or his daughter, who fell from the balcony.
Working theater open for shows and film screenings; check the box office for dates.
