Built around 1685 across the street from his father's home — now the Amstel House museum — this was the residence of David Finney, and local tradition holds that a tunnel once connected the two buildings. Third-floor tenants and paranormal investigators report windows and doors opening and closing on their own and small objects moved, most often attributed to Finney himself or his father, Dr. John Finney. The building now holds a restaurant on the ground floor with apartments above.
The building is no longer an inn: the ground floor holds a restaurant, and the upper floors are leased as apartments and offices, so the upper levels are private. Visit as a restaurant guest only.
