The Conrad Mansion was built in 1895 for Charles Conrad, a Missouri River trader and founder of Kalispell, and his family, and is now a house museum. Montana tourism guides list it among the state's haunted places. Stories describe a woman in white and a rocking chair that moves on its own, and staff tell of feeling that Mrs. Conrad approved of restoration work. The museum offers ghost tours of the darkened rooms in autumn, where staff and community members share their own encounters with Conrad family spirits.
Open for tours roughly May through October, with ghost tours around Halloween that require reservations. Check the museum for current hours.
