Albertville Public Library carries a reputation among staff for a scattering of small, unexplained happenings. Workers say the elevator sometimes moves between floors on its own, and that running water can be heard in the bathroom, only to stop the moment someone checks. One theory ties the activity to a house that stood on the site before the library was built in the early 1900s, with some saying its former occupants never quite left. Most of what's reported happens early in the morning, before the rest of the staff arrives.
